Dr. Donika Hoxha

Dr. Donika Hoxha holds the position of Director of the Cabinet of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs since November 17, 2023

Before being appointed to this position, Dr. Hoxha has served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Bulgaria (October 2018-November 2023) and to the Republic of Moldova, non-resident (October 2019-November 2023).

PhD in History of International Relations. Director of the Directorate of Economic, Public and Diaspora Diplomacy in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania (2015-2018).

Counselor and First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Italy during the years 2002 – 2006 and 2008 – 2015.
Chief of Protocol and Advisor to the Prime Minister in 2002.

From 1999 to 2002, she served as a specialist and Head of the Information and Translation Office, Press and Information Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
September 1998 – December 1999, Dr. Hoxha has served in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as spokesperson and specialist of the Information and Communication Office.

English language lecturer at the University of Tirana, 1998-2001.

Doctorate in History of International Relations, completed at the University of Rome “Sapienza”, Italy (2010). Master’s Degree in Euro-American Languages ​​and

Literatures at the University of Rome “Sapienza”, Italy (2005). Postgraduate Diploma in “Diplomacy” at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies at the University of Malta (2000). He graduated in English at the University of Tirana (1998).

Dr. Hoxha is fluent in English and Italian and has good knowledge of French.
