New York, 27 September 2024 – During the high-level meetings held in the context of the United Nations General Assembly’s High-Level Week, Albania, as Chair of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and the Central European Initiative (CEI), reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating the European integration process for the countries of the Western Balkans and Central Europe.

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and leveraging shared potential to achieve economic development and secure a more prosperous future for the citizens of the region.

“There are more things that unite us than divide us, and we must seize the opportunities ahead of us,” Minister Hasani stated.

He also stressed that the steady advancement of the European integration process remains a key priority of Albania’s CEI Chairmanship.

In both initiatives, Albania has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening stability, security, and the investment climate in the region, while supporting Ukraine and addressing global challenges within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
