The Republic of Armenia is a landlocked country located in the Armenian highlands of West Asia. Yerevan is the capital and largest city. It is smaller than the former Soviet republics, bordered by Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, Iran to the south, and Turkey to the west. Armenia is a unitary, multi-party, democratic state with an ancient cultural heritage.

There are no reservations hindering the development of bilateral relations at all levels and areas of mutual interest. There has been no active bilateral cooperation between our two countries in the political field. There is room for the preparation and implementation of a broad legal framework, which would support cooperation. The developments of recent years in the regions where our countries are located, but also the various problems of international relations, can serve as points of exchange of ideas, views and experiences. There is room for the beginning of promoting business contacts, commercial exchanges and the conclusion of standard agreements in the economic area, which would facilitate cooperation in this direction. There is an expressed will for bilateral visits so that all aspects of bilateral cooperation relations can be addressed.
