As two countries bonded by the same values, the role of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Mother Teresa remains an integral part of the common collective memory and therefore it serves as a connecting bridge of the friendship between two countries.

In line with the new historical context, Albania is committed to further advance this friendship and boost the cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, to the benefit of our people.

In the relations between the two countries, there are untapped potentials in several areas such as the economic, trade, cultural, education, and tourism.

The trade exchange between two countries has marked a steady growth during the last years.

When it comes to the multilateral cooperation, in 2022, the two countries were non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, which offered increased opportunities for cooperation in the multilateral dimension for peacekeeping, strengthening security and sustainable development.
