OVERVIEW

Diplomatic relations between Albania and South Korea were established in August 1991. The Republic of Korea covers Albania through its Embassy in Athens, while Albania covers relations with the Republic of Korea through its Embassy in Beijing.

BILATERAL RELATIONS

Relations between the two countries are good and with opportunities for development.

The Republic of Korea is a country with economic potential. It has supported Albania during the transition period with assistance and loans through the Economic Development Fund, EDCF.

Albania and the Republic of Korea cooperate in UN and other international organizations, where both countries are members.
