Today marks one year since the terrorist attack by the armed Serbian group in Banjskë, where Kosovo Police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.

Honoring the sacrifice of Afrim Bunjaku, Albania supports Kosovo in its efforts and achievements in establishing the rule of law across its entire territory.

It is unacceptable that those responsible for this crime remain unpunished. Justice must be served without delays or excuses.

Albania welcomes the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutor’s Office to indict the suspects for organizing and carrying out this brutal attack. Accountability is key for preventing escalations and fostering peace throughout the region.
