Statement on the Approval of the Law on the Use of Languages in Macedonia

The adoption of the Law on the Use of Languages in Macedonia is an important achievement for Albanians as a state-building population and a step forward for the democratization and strengthening of the Euro-Atlantic route of Macedonia.

The adoption of the law guarantees a better and fairer access to services and an inclusion of Albanians in good governance, development policies, and the building of an open, free-standing, European-based society.

The adoption of the law is an investment of particular importance for the strengthening of inter-ethnic democracy, respect and understanding. At the same time, this act is a cornerstone for a better and safer euro-Atlantic future of our neighbor, for which Albanians in Macedonia have been and are firm supporters of this act.
