Endrit Yzeiraj  – Deputy Minister at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Endrit Yzeiraj completed his studies in Economics and Political Science at Grand Valley State University in the United States in 2007. In 2010, he completed a Master’s degree in Economic Research at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

From 2011 to 2016, he worked at the Economic Research Department of the Bank of Albania. His studies and analyses focused on inflation and macroeconomic cycles, trade, housing prices, and long-term growth in developing countries. Since 2012, he has been a co-founder of Ekon.al, the first economic blog in the Albanian language.

From 2016 to 2023, he served as Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects at the Albanian-American Development Foundation. His work focused on establishing indicators and databases, as well as conducting statistical and micro-econometric analyses to assess the effectiveness of projects.

In March 2023, he was appointed as Deputy Minister responsible for Economic Development in the former Ministry of Finance and Economy, and later in the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.

In September 2024, he was appointed as Deputy Minister responsible for Economic Diplomacy in the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

He has also been engaged as an external consultant on World Bank projects focusing on fiscal incentives and payment systems. Additionally, he is involved as an external lecturer for micro and macroeconomics at the University of New York, Tirana.
