The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha continues a series of meetings with diplomatic representatives accredited to Albania

In a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Albania, Ms. Kikuko Kato, both sides highlighted the strong and friendly relations between Albania and Japan, grounded in shared democratic values and support for the rules-based international order. “We agreed to further strengthen political dialogue and deepen cooperation in areas such as economic development, investment, and people-to-people ties,” the Minister noted, while expressing appreciation for Japan’s continued support in infrastructure, education, and post-earthquake reconstruction.

In talks with the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Albania, Mr. Albín Otruba, the excellent state of bilateral relations was reaffirmed. “We attach great importance to the upcoming visit of President Bajram Begaj to Bratislava as an opportunity to further strengthen political dialogue and expand cooperation,” the Minister emphasized, while expressing gratitude for Slovakia’s consistent support for Albania’s EU integration.

The meeting with the Ambassador of Romania to Albania, Mr. Octavian Șerban, underscored the shared commitment to deepening cooperation and addressing common priorities. “We reaffirmed the importance of close coordination with our European and NATO allies in light of evolving security challenges,” the Minister noted, highlighting support for Albania’s EU accession and regional stability.
