The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, accredited to the Republic of Albania and based in Rome, has notified the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania that the competent Moroccan authorities have decided to waive the visa requirement for citizens of the Republic of Albania traveling to the Kingdom of Morocco for short-term stays.

This decision will enter into force on August 15, 2026.

The decision is linked to the commitment expressed in the Joint Declaration signed on March 1, 2025, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco and his Albanian counterpart, Mr. Igli Hasani, who at the time served as Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania.
