Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, spoke in a video message about preparations for the distribution of Albanian Language and Albanian Culture textbooks for the 2026–2027 school year among the Albanian Diaspora.

Minister Hoxha announced that more than 5,700 educational packages, or approximately 17,000 textbooks, have been planned for Albanian children in 15 European countries, as well as in the United States of America and Canada.

These are the joint textbooks “Albanian Language” and “Albanian Culture”, designed for Levels One, Two, and Three.

Highlighting the importance of preserving and cultivating the Albanian language among the Diaspora, Minister Hoxha stated that “The Albanian language is the DNA of our nation,” emphasizing that it lies at the heart of our shared culture, identity, and heritage.

In cooperation with the Centre for Diaspora Publications and the Ministry of Education, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs will make every effort to meet 100% of the requests for educational textbooks.

An important feature of this school year is the inclusion of Level Three, which represents a significant step toward consolidating the complete cycle of joint textbooks for the Diaspora.

Minister Hoxha also announced that Albanian diplomatic missions are currently updating data on the actual number of students, the levels they attend, teachers, and distribution addresses.

In conclusion, Minister Hoxha addressed parents and teachers in the Diaspora, inviting them to follow the instructions and announcements issued by Albanian embassies and diplomatic missions in each country, in order to stay informed in a timely manner about the textbook distribution process.
