The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, received Major General Jasper Jeffers, Commander of the International Stabilization Force for Gaza (ISF), in Tirana today.

During the meeting, Minister Hoxha underscored the importance of Albania’s participation in the ISF as a concrete contribution on the ground in support of advancing international peace and security.

“We discussed the importance of Albania’s participation in the ISF, which translates into a tangible contribution on the ground one of the key components of our foreign policy: advancing peace and security, and our readiness to contribute wherever international efforts can make a difference,” said Minister Hoxha.

As a founding member of the Board of Peace, Albania is determined to play its part, alongside the United States and other international partners, in supporting efforts to create the conditions for security, stability and lasting peace in the Middle East.

“Our participation in the ISF reflects Albania’s readiness to make a concrete contribution to an initiative aimed at safeguarding the security and dignity of the people of Gaza, facilitating humanitarian assistance and reconstruction, and helping create the conditions for a credible and sustainable political horizon, leading to a better life for all,” Minister Hoxha stated.

Minister Hoxha also emphasized that Albania has consistently demonstrated its commitment to international peace and security through NATO, the United Nations and other international missions.

“Our contribution to the ISF is a natural continuation of this commitment and of our belief that countries, regardless of their size, can make meaningful contributions to addressing the challenges of our time. We stand ready to do our part, together with our allies and partners, for peace, security and a better future for the people of the region,” Minister Hoxha concluded.
