Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met in Bucharest with Daniel-Cătălin Zamfir, Romania’s Minister of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism.

The ministers focused on ways to translate the excellent political relations between the two countries into a stronger economic partnership.

Minister Hoxha stated that considerable untapped potential remains for increasing trade exchanges, attracting investment and strengthening direct cooperation between businesses in the two countries.

“We identified promising opportunities in the fields of Information Technology, digital services, manufacturing and tourism,” Hoxha wrote on the social media platform X following the meeting.

“The priority now is to turn this potential into concrete results through a dedicated business agenda for 2027, direct B2B engagement and partnerships that deliver tangible benefits for both economies,” the Foreign Minister concluded.
