The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, held a series of meetings with Ambassadors accredited to Albania, reaffirming the country’s strong international partnerships and the commitment to advancing shared priorities.

During these meetings, the high level of bilateral relations was highlighted, and the shared determination to further deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest—such as trade, investment, security, and innovation—was reaffirmed.

In the meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Reinout Voss, the Minister emphasized the positive momentum in bilateral relations, stating: “We agreed on the importance of advancing our joint work toward the timely signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement and maintaining this positive momentum across areas such as the rule of law, trade, investment, and innovation.”

During the meeting with the Ambassador of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivaylo Kirov, the Minister underlined the strategic dimension of bilateral cooperation, declaring: “Corridor VIII represents a key Pan-European axis, essential not only for connectivity and economic development, but also for strengthening security and resilience in Southeast Europe.”

In the meeting with the Ambassador of Türkiye, Mr. Tayyar Kagan Atay, the Minister highlighted the depth of the strategic partnership, emphasizing: “We reaffirmed our joint commitment to expanding cooperation in priority sectors and stand in full solidarity as partners and NATO allies in addressing current regional and global challenges.”

During discussions with the Ambassador of Israel, Ms. Galit Peleg, the Minister stressed the enduring nature of bilateral relations, stating: “Our relationship is rooted in a historic legacy of solidarity and mutual respect, and we remain committed to strengthening cooperation in key areas such as the economy, education, and security.”

In the meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Nick Abbott, the Minister also highlighted: “We discussed the importance of continued coordination on developments in the Western Balkans, as well as our aligned positions in support of Ukraine.”

These meetings underscore Albania’s proactive foreign policy, its dedication to strengthening bilateral and multilateral partnerships, and its clear strategic objective of advancing European integration while contributing actively to regional and global stability.
