Alteo Hysi

Since September 2025, Alteo Hysi has been serving as Advisor to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Director General of the Media and Information Agency, the institution responsible for transparency and public communication of the Albanian Government.

Appointed to this position by the Prime Minister of Albania, Hysi has directed and coordinated the work of the Agency for informing citizens and communicating with the media, regarding policies, activities, projects, innovations or issues that are resolved through acts of the Council of Ministers.

Prior to this, he served as Director of Institutional Information, Research and Content at the Media and Information Agency, where his work focused on the evaluation and analysis of media content, as well as the production of substantive materials for government public communication.

In addition to his other commitments, Hysi has been engaged as a freelance expert in the field of media and public communication for the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Tirana Office.

He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Tirana, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Journalism and Communication Sciences.
