Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs today hosted the event “Diplomacy in Service of European Albania 2030”, highlighting the central role of Albania’s foreign service in advancing the country’s journey toward European Union membership.

The event took place in a hybrid format, combining in-person participation with online access, allowing Albanian diplomats and foreign service officers from across the country and abroad to actively engage in the discussions.

At the heart of the conversation were the priorities of the current stage of the EU negotiating framework, preparations for membership, and the vital role of Albania’s diplomatic missions in EU member states and beyond. The discussions also emphasized the importance of inter-institutional coordination in achieving Albania’s strategic goal of EU accession by 2030.

The event also showcased the Ministry’s ongoing efforts in strategic communication, bringing the EU integration process closer to both the Albanian and European public. Through these efforts, the Ministry highlights the values, benefits, and responsibilities of EU membership, while mobilizing its diplomatic network to provide clear, timely, and transparent information at every step of this transformative journey.

As Albania continues on its path toward European integration, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs remains a key institution leading the political-diplomatic process. It acts as an active and effective partner in collaboration with EU member states and institutions, coordinating closely with state administration bodies to ensure Albania’s commitments and capacities align seamlessly with its European aspirations.
