On 21 January 2026, diplomatic consultations were held in Tirana between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Slovenia.

The Albanian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ms. Megi Fino, while the Slovenian delegation was headed by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Neva Grašič.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation. In this context, opportunities for further deepening the partnership between the two countries were discussed.

The consultations also focused on regional and international developments, including Albania’s European integration process, as well as current challenges facing the Western Balkans region.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing close and constructive cooperation to advance shared priorities and further strengthen the friendly relations between Albania and Slovenia.

The diplomatic consultations confirmed the spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation, serving as an important platform for enhancing the bilateral partnership and addressing regional and global challenges.
