The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, held a meeting at the Elcano Royal Institute in Madrid, where he was received by Director Charles Powell and the Institute’s experts.

During the meeting, an in-depth exchange of views took place on the enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkans, which was underscored as a strategic necessity for the long-term stability and security of the continent.

Discussions also focused on the complex challenges currently facing both the EU and NATO, as well as on recent developments in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Minister Hoxha highlighted the importance of engaging with leading research centers and prestigious international institutions, emphasizing that such exchanges contribute to building a safer, stronger, and more integrated Europe.
