The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs welcomes the agreement reached on the presentation of a joint list of Albanian parties and political entities in the parliamentary elections to be held on 25 October 2026 in Serbia, and commends all Albanian political actors in the Preševo Valley for the responsibility, political maturity and vision demonstrated through this decision.

This step conveys a clear message: the interests of Albanians are better protected when their political representation is united, coordinated and determined. Dignified and effective representation in the institutions of the country where they live requires unity, responsibility and a common position on issues that directly affect the rights, well-being and future of Albanians in the Preševo Valley.

This joint list should serve as evidence that when the political voice is united, representation is strengthened; and when representation is strengthened, the interests of citizens are better protected and their role in decision-making processes is enhanced.

Albania will continue to firmly support the rights of Albanians in the Preševo Valley, their fair representation, full equality before the law, as well as the economic and social development of the Albanian community.
