On the margins of the Berlin Process Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, held in Pržno, Montenegro, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Wadephul.

The two ministers held a substantive exchange focused on Albania’s European path.

“I expressed our deep appreciation for Germany’s clear, consistent and continued support for the EU enlargement process and Albania’s accession to the European Union,” Minister Hoxha wrote on the social media platform X following the meeting.

Minister Hoxha underscored that “Germany’s strong commitment to a credible and merit-based enlargement process makes an important contribution to maintaining momentum and advancing the European perspective of the Western Balkans.”

According to Minister Hoxha, Albania’s ambitious reform agenda and the priorities ahead in the accession negotiations remain key to our European future.

“We remain fully committed to fulfilling our commitments and advancing on the basis of merit, as we work closely with Germany and our European partners towards a stronger, more united, safer and more resilient Europe,” the Foreign Minister stated.
