On the High-Level Ministerial Meeting “Slavkov 3 – Western Balkans,” Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met in Vienna with Austria’s Federal Minister for Europe, Claudia Bauer.

Minister Hoxha and Minister Bauer discussed Albania’s EU accession process, the ongoing reform agenda, and key priorities in the negotiations.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs expressed Albania’s appreciation for Austria’s longstanding and unwavering support for the country’s path towards EU membership and for the European future of the Western Balkans.

According to the Minister, this support represents a significant contribution to building a stronger, more united, and fully integrated Europe.

Austrian Minister Bauer highlighted Albania’s progress in the accession negotiations as a positive example of a process based on the merits of candidate countries.

The meeting also focused on opportunities to further strengthen the excellent bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, building on their close political dialogue and strong ties.
