The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, met with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker on the margins of the Bled Strategic Forum.

Following the discussions held in Washington last July, Minister Hoxha and Under Secretary Hooker reaffirmed the importance of the Albania–United States strategic partnership and their shared commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of defense and security, as well as on cooperation within NATO, particularly following the Ankara Summit and ahead of the Alliance’s upcoming Summit in Albania.

Minister Hoxha and Under Secretary Hooker also discussed the security environment and recent developments in the Western Balkans, reaffirming the importance of continued engagement in support of regional stability and security.

Albania and the United States remain united by a longstanding partnership rooted in shared democratic values, transatlantic solidarity, and a common commitment to security.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to continue their dialogue and close cooperation, with a focus on delivering tangible results that advance common interests and bring benefits to both countries.
