The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, shared via a post on X details of his first telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković.

The discussion was held in a friendly and productive spirit, marking an important step toward further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Both ministers reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

During the conversation, they underscored that peace, security, and stability in the region must remain key priorities, particularly considering the ongoing challenges in the Western Balkans and the need for a renewed, credible, and tangible European perspective for the region.

Minister Hoxha reiterated Albania’s firm and unwavering support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while strongly condemning any form of separatism or actions that undermine the country’s constitutional order.

Both interlocutors shared the view that integration into the European Union remains a key driver of sustainable development, stability, and prosperity in the region. In this context, they reaffirmed their full commitment to advancing along this shared European path through reforms, closer cooperation, and alignment with the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), as well as with EU values and standards.

The two Ministers expressed their readiness to continue close coordination and dialogue in the period ahead.
