Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

MEFA calls Serbian Ambassador to clarify the statement made by Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vulin.

The Ambassador of Serbia, Slobodan Vukčević, was called yesterday to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where clarifications were requested regarding statements made by Deputy Prime Minister Vulin, referring to Prime Minister Rama’s visit and meeting with the Albanian diaspora in Greece.

The provocative statement by the Serbian official is contrary to the spirit of cooperation and does not serve peace and stability in the Balkan countries. Albania is an important factor working and contributing to peace and security in our region, which is at the core of cooperation with Serbia as well.

MEFA expects immediate reflection, so that such damaging and repeated statements do not affect our relations, which should be oriented towards good neighborliness and European integration.
