Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, has reacted to Russia’s recent massive attacks in Ukraine, describing them as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and reaffirming Albania’s unwavering support for Ukraine.

In a post on X, Minister Hoxha stated:

“We condemn in the strongest terms the latest wave of Russian attacks against Ukraine, in which drones and missiles struck civilian areas, causing the tragic loss of innocent lives, including children.

We express our solidarity with the victims, the injured, and their families, who continue to endure the devastating human consequences of this unjustifiable war.

These continued indiscriminate attacks against civilians and critical infrastructure are unacceptable and constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law. They must end immediately.

Albania reaffirms its unwavering support for Ukraine and its people. Sustained international support for Ukraine, increased pressure on Russia to halt these attacks, and full accountability for all violations of international law remain essential for the protection of civilians and the preservation of peace and security in Europe.”
