Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, reacted in a post on X regarding the latest Russian attacks on Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine, as well as the confirmed incident involving a Russian drone in Leipzig, Germany.

Minister Hoxha stressed that Russia has once again demonstrated that its aggression against Ukraine is not ceasing. According to him, the massive attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, including the direct strike on the National University of Food Technologies, are part of a brutal campaign that continues to put civilians at risk.

Minister Hoxha underscored that Europe, and Albania as part of it, has rightly stood by Ukraine from the very first day and must continue to do so.

He stressed that Ukraine remains the front line of this war, while Russia’s reach and ambitions are increasingly demonstrating that they extend far beyond Ukraine. According to Minister Hoxha, the confirmed incident involving a Russian drone in Leipzig is another stark reminder that Moscow is testing the limits of European security and expanding its destabilising interference and activities across the continent.

“Threats, aggression and hybrid interference will not weaken Europe’s resolve. They must have the opposite effect: a stronger, more united and more determined Europe,” stated Minister Hoxha.

In conclusion, Minister Hoxha stressed that Ukraine is defending its land, while Europe is defending its security, underscoring the importance of standing together on both fronts.
