On April 11, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Albania-Kosovo Diplomatic Consultations took place.

The MEPJ delegation was led by the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Artemis Malo, while the MPJD delegation was led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kreshnik Ahmeti.

The focus of the talks was the bilateral inter-institutional cooperation plan between the two MFAs, specifically on strategic cooperation in the field of foreign policy through the harmonization of actions and actions of diplomacy to achieve national strategic objectives, as well as diaspora issues.

Albania supports the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, mediated by the EU, where the US has an important role. This dialogue should produce a legally binding Agreement, which brings mutual recognition between the two countries and Kosovo’s membership in the UN and the EU.

Albania supports Kosovo’s aspirations for Euro-Atlantic integration, being proactive in strengthening the institutionalization of Kosovo’s relations with the Atlantic Alliance.
