DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING FOREIGN VISAS

The documentation that the Albanian citizen must provide for visa in case of travel to countries where the Republic of Albania is on a visa regime is different due to the different foreign legislation and purpose of travel. Citizens must have during the journey the passport with the validity permitted and accepted by the legislation of the State of destination and the visa necessary for travel.

Holders of diplomatic and service passports equipped under the applicable legislation are asked to use these documents for the purpose of the function, for which they are provided by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE TRAVELING?

Albanian citizens should be assured whether in the countries they will travel there are political unrest, natural disasters, diseases, epidemics or vaccination is necessary. It is recommended to know the traditions, customs and dockets of the places you will travel to.

EGYPT  For Albanian citizens wishing to travel to Egypt, please find the instruction on the maintenance of medicines for personal use, also the allowed amount of medicines, cosmetic products, veterinary products, as well as the table of prohibited medicines or products. “Guidelines for carrying medicines with travelers to Egypt for personal use”.

ISRAEL – Foreign nationals travelling to Israel via Ben Guroi Airport are equipped with an Entry Stampe at the entrance to the airport, which must always be carried with them during their stay in Israel until leaving the country, as it serves as proof of lawful residence and may be required while citizens visit Israel. The decision to enter the state of Israel belongs only to security and migration facilities at Ben Gurion Airport. If you are not permitted to enter Israel and are equipped with a return order, you should contact the Israeli Embassy in Albania to be informed if you can travel to Israel again.

From August 1, 2024, visa-exempt citizens must complete the ETA-IL pilot application free of charge, and can travel to Israel only after a prior approval or valid visa. Diplomats who are on an official mission or duty will be exempt from applying (diplomatic, service and official passport). After this period of application to ETA-IL will be paid 25 NIS.

INDONESIA – Foreign nationals travelling to Bali must pay a tax of 150.00 IDR (about 9 EU/10 USD), which is intended to protect culture and environment. The tax will be paid online via the portal https://lovebali.baliprov.go.id or downloading the “Love Bali” app on google play/app store.

Exempt from the obligation to pay this tax:

– Diplomatic and Service Visa Holders

– Crew members in transportation

– Holders of temporary and permanent residence permits

– Visa holders for family, study, gold and other visas who have applied for the exemption from the tax through the Love Bali system at least 5 days before arriving in Bali

QATAR – For Albanian citizens who wish to travel to the State of Qatar. You are informed that the retention and access with tobacco products as follows, in this State shall have legal consequences: Chewing tobacco (chewable tobacco), Electric Cigarettes, bottle and generics of all tobacco products, Chewing tobacco of all forms or brands, Automatic devices for the sale of cigarettes, Advertising, Promotion or Sponsorship of tobacco or its derivatives.

HAINAN PROVINCE – For Albanian citizens who wish to travel to the Province of Hajnan in the People’s Republic of China. From 1 May 2018, you can travel without a visa for short-term stay.

ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN – For citizens wishing to travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran*- Avoiding travel for any reason is recommended.

ARAB REPUBLIC OF SYRIA – Holders of diplomatic, service and special passports apply to the Syrian diplomatic representation by conveying the document: Passport, verbal grade, photo of applicant with white background and electronic visa.
