REGIME OF VISAS FOR ALBANIAN CITIZENS

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in function of the security of Albanian citizens, who plan to move outside the Republic of Albania, instructs the avoidance of unnecessary trips to areas involved in military conflicts, countries with political unrest, epidemics or natural disasters.

I. WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW BEFORE TRAVELING?

Information on the documentation, form and method of applying for a visa or the country where to apply can be found:

On the official websites of ministries of foreign countries, or
Diplomatic and Consular Representations which have the Republic of Albania in their jurisdiction.
Before traveling, Albanian citizens should contact the nearest representation of the destination country to be informed about the conditions of entry and exit to this country.

II. DOCUMENTATION NECESSARY FOR OBTAINING FOREIGN VISAS

The documentation that the Albanian citizen must provide in order to obtain a visa in cases of travel to the countries where the Republic of Albania has a visa regime is different based on the legislation of each country.

Before traveling you should make sure that:

Passport or ID Card has the validity allowed and accepted by the country of destination;
Be equipped with a visa in accordance with the purpose of the trip.
You have sufficient funds to cover living costs for the days of stay (especially in cases where the visa is issued at the border);
Have confirmation of your accommodation reservation for the duration of your stay (especially in cases where the visa is issued at the border).

Holders of diplomatic and service passports, provided according to the legislation in force, are requested to use these documents for the purpose of the function for which they were provided with these documents by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
