Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

On 27 July 2026, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania will host the international conference “Countering Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference: Albania and the Enlargement Context.”

The conference will provide a platform for discussing the evolving challenge of Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI), its implications for democratic governance and European security, and the policies and instruments being developed to strengthen democratic resilience.

The programme brings together senior representatives of European institutions, NATO, governments, academia, journalism, the technology sector and civil society for two panel discussions focusing on the European response to FIMI and the challenges and opportunities facing enlargement partners.
