Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha welcomed the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in Tirana. The meeting highlighted the importance of close coordination between Albania and Kosovo on all matters of national interest.

Minister Hoxha stated in a post on X:

“It was a special pleasure to welcome today in Tirana the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of #Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca @KonjufcaGlauk, within the framework of the 4th #Diaspora Summit. This summit stands as clear evidence of our shared will to transform the Albanian diaspora into an organized and decisive force for our national future.

Our #Diaspora remains an irreplaceable asset — a living bridge that connects our nation with the world and a powerful engine of development, contributing directly to strengthening our economy, society, and identity.

Following a productive and extensive dialogue, today’s meeting reaffirmed our joint determination to advance the Albania–Kosovo strategic partnership. We are committed to deepening this cooperation across all priority fields — economy, infrastructure, energy, education, culture, defense, and security.

Emphasis was placed on reactivating joint institutional mechanisms and accelerating major national projects. In the regional and international context, Albania remains steadfast in its support for Kosovo and its Euro-Atlantic path.

Granting #Kosovo the status of candidate country is a necessary and timely political and strategic step — an investment in the European future of our region. Albania will continue to be a strong voice in support of Kosovo’s international subjectivity in every aspect.

We do not have the luxury of waiting.

The moment demands action, #determination, #coordination, and #unity. We reaffirmed our full commitment to close coordination and joint action on every issue of national importance, with the clear aim of promoting long-term stability, sustainable development for our citizens, and #peace, #security, and regional cooperation.
