During his stay in Pržno, Montenegro, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met with France’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, René Troccaz.

The meeting focused on Albania’s accession process to the European Union, developments in the Western Balkans, and the strategic importance of strengthening regional cooperation, connectivity and security.

In a post on X, Minister Hoxha praised the partnership between Albania and France, grounded in shared values, highlighting France’s support for Albania’s European path.

“France’s continued support for Albania’s European path, as well as its active engagement in a credible and merit-based enlargement process, are of strategic importance not only for Albania, but also for the future of the Western Balkans and Europe as a whole,” Minister Hoxha stated.

He further underlined Albania’s commitment to working closely with France to strengthen the region’s European perspective, consolidate stability and security, and bring the Western Balkans closer to the European Union in a determined and irreversible manner.
