New York – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha took part in a meeting hosted by European Commission Vice-President and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, together with the leaders and foreign ministers of the Western Balkan countries.

The discussions focused on the current situation and dynamics in the Western Balkans, the challenges facing the region, and the importance of close coordination in support of peace, stability, and security.

In a post on the social media platform X, Hoxha emphasized that “with Kallas, we underscored the importance of making the EU perspective a concrete reality for the entire region, maintaining the momentum of the enlargement process, advancing reforms, and firmly anchoring the Western Balkans within the European family.”

“Albania remains fully committed to its ongoing EU accession process and to contributing constructively to regional cooperation, as well as to a stronger, more united, and more secure Europe,” said the Foreign Minister.
